We are grateful to the Tribune Trust for the generous grant of £5,000, which has enabled us to successfully launch weekly sports and social sessions for young people at Kinloss Garth in the Noddle Hill area. These sessions provide a safe and supportive environment for local youth to engage in physical activity, socialize with their peers, and connect with staff and volunteers who are trained in Youth Mental Health First Aid. The grant has allowed us to run a two-hour session each week, enhancing the existing services we offer to the community. These sessions have attracted a consistent number of young participants who benefit from the structured activities and social engagement in a supervised setting. The youth have had the opportunity to participate in a variety of sports, promoting physical health and teamwork. The supervised environment ensures that the children can engage safely and positively. The community room provides a space for young people to interact with peers and speak to staff about any concerns or issues they may face. Our trained staff has provided much-needed emotional support, helping to foster a sense of belonging and community. The structured sessions have helped to keep young people engaged in positive activities, reducing the risk of anti-social behaviour in the local area. The social aspect of the sessions has encouraged open communication between young people and trusted adults, creating an avenue for addressing mental health concerns early. The sessions have fostered a sense of community and belonging among the young people, encouraging them to take pride in their local area. The £5,000 grant from the Tribune Trust has made a significant difference in the lives of local young people by providing a safe, engaging space for physical activity and social interaction. We are confident that this project has helped to address both the physical and emotional needs of the community's youth, and we are grateful for your continued support.
