A cheque presented by the Hull and East Riding High Sheriff Chris Henson to Hull YFC. Ian Dyson told me. . Thanks to the generous grant of £2,500 from the Tribune Trust, we have been able to successfully continue and expand our youth work activities. Our weekly youth club, which serves up to 40 young people, provides a safe, engaging space for participants to enjoy various activities including sports, arts and crafts, cooking, and more. The funding has allowed us to not only maintain our regular sessions but also enhance the quality of experiences offered to the young people in our community. The grant has had a significant impact on the young people attending our club. Many of the participants come from disadvantaged backgrounds, and these activities provide them with positive social outlets, fostering confidence and self-esteem. In particular: The availability of diverse activities has kept young people engaged and excited about attending the club regularly. Skill Development: From arts and crafts to cooking, young people have had the opportunity to develop practical skills in a fun and informal setting. The end-of-term trips have been a highlight, offering experiences that encourage personal growth, team building, and resilience. The funding provided by the Tribune Trust has been instrumental in sustaining and enriching our youth work activities over the past year. We are deeply grateful for your support, which has allowed us to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people in our community. We look forward to continuing this important work and hope to maintain this partnership in the future. Thank you for your continued support.
