Pelican Park is a sports facility which offers tennis, football, cricket and netball to the local community. It also runs a weekly youth club. Friends of Pelican Park is a registered charity which runs the activities at the Park. The aim of the charity is to increase participation in sport and learning opportunities in the locality, improve health and well-being, create a community hub for people of all ages and improve volunteering and learning outcomes for young people aged 16-25 years. Pelican Park is a registered Centre Provider to deliver Sport Leader UK accreditation courses. It is also an ADAN registered centre to deliver short courses in Activities and Peer Tutoring, Sports and Fitness, Football Coaching and Disability and Sports Awareness Training.
