Rooted in Hull

the High Sheriff of The East Riding of Yorkshire, Tina Cerutti presents a cheque to Martin King and the team at Rooted in Hull, an urban farm community space situated in the heart of Hull city centre. Nestled on the grounds of a former dock. Martin said. "we have successfully transformed what was once wasteland into a vibrant and thriving hub for the local community. At Rooted in Hull, we are dedicated to bringing people together through various activities and events centred around food growing, cooking, arts, crafts, music, beekeeping, environmental sustainability, and overall well-being. Our goal is to provide a space where individuals from all walks of life can come together to learn, participate, and connect with one another. What sets us apart is our unwavering commitment to supporting and empowering those who may be facing challenges such as mental health issues, social isolation, and addiction recovery. Over the past several years, we have cultivated a safe and inclusive environment where individuals can feel a sense of belonging and value, embracing our all-in-it-together approach. This grant will contribute significantly to the continuation of our valuable work and allow us to expand our reach to even more individuals in need. We are truly grateful for the support we receive and are excited about the possibilities that lie ahead. With this grant, we can continue to foster a sense of community, provide essential resources, and facilitate the personal growth and well-being of all who come through our doors. Once again, thank you for your belief in our mission and for your invaluable support. Together, we can make a lasting difference in the lives of those who need it most.
