Back in 2022 The trust Awarded a grant of £2500 to Hull Cycle Speedway. Steve Clayton re visited the Club to ask how they have been getting on. Andy Scofield the clubs secretary had this to say. "The grant has had a big impact on the club. We have purchased 2 new bikes , one suitable for 10 to 12 year olds and one for 12 year olds and up. We have also bought a refurbished bike for 8 to 11 year olds. We have also been able to purchased new gloves, handlebar tapes and some tools for maintenance. We have also provided some travel subsidy for riders who want to travel to away matches without incurring a big expense. The grant has provided a massive boost to the club, enabling us to increase the number of young people who attend the training sessions and competitions. The extra equipment has also allowed the club to arrange more community events with “ come and try “ events especially popular with cubs, scouts and guide groups and an open day for the local Hessle community. The grant has helped us grow allowing more people to access our club. Many thanks to the Tribune Trust".
