Cleethorpes Community Sports and Education Club

The Club was opened in November 2018 with a grant from Sport England. The Club provides boxing training four evenings a week and also on a Saturday morning. They have 80 members who attend the boxing sessions. The Club has a skate park, a football pitch and a gymnasium. The Club runs a DJ Club for 16 young people on a Friday evening. They also run healthy lifestyles classes, cooking and yoga classes. 25 volunteers provide all of the coaching as there are no paid staff.

The Tribune Trust is supporting the Club in their project to recruit 25 young people from the local area and to engage them in meaningful activity. The young people will be aged between 14 years and 18 years. The Club want to provide the group with an opportunity to take part and be engaged at the community club as a diversionary tactic to combat any possible involvement in anti-social behaviour and crime. . The Club will provide the group with a variety of sporting activities and one to one mentoring over a six months period. The Club is aiming to become a community venue for all ages offering a wide variety of activities and educational classes.
