Soccer Kings Community Trust, Hull

18/07/2019

Soccer Kings is a commercial enterprise which has three indoor 3G five a side football pitches available. It also operates a community trust which is a registered charity. The Community Trust seeks ways of providing sporting activity programmes that focus on young people and help to reduce crime and risk taking behaviours in the local area.

The Tribune Trust are supporting Soccer Kings Community Trust to run a 40 week youth diversion project where up to 30 young people will be able to use the Soccer Kings venue. Individuals, who will be nominated by local youth clubs and partner agencies, will be able to participate in football, rugby, dodgeball and archery. The weekly sessions will be two hours long.

Soccer Kings would like the police and Youth Offending Team to be involved in the project so that they can engage with attendees and talk to them about the consequences of crime and drug and alcohol misuse.

The Chairman of the Tribune Trust, Julie Good, is shown presenting a cheque to Joe Winn, the Manager of Soccer Kings.
