Kingfisher Cafe

30/10/2023

In 2022 the Trust made a donation to the The Kingfisher Café who are situated on West Street Bridlington. They Provide free hot meals for homeless "guests" and are also open to the public. Steve Clayton re visited the Café and spoke to Rosemary French (Chair). I asked Rosemary how the grant has helped the charity. Rosemary had this to say. "the Café is doing really well. The money is helping to provide good meals and companionship to the local community. Weekends provide 2 sittings of 45 people a full roast dinner. We have increased on the regulars that are attending the breakfast sittings, this has greatly increased the social inclusion for them. The grant has enabled us to provide a better standard of care for service users. I would like to pass on my heartfelt thanks to the Tribune trust".
