Helping the Community Policing Teams in Grimsby to engage with young people

11/01/2018

The Tribune Trust is pleased to be able to support the Community Policing Teams in North East Lincolnshire to engage with young people to promote a healthy and positive lifestyle.

The Community Policing Teams will organise events to promote physical activity, team work and problem solving for the young people who take part. This will allow the officers and their partner agencies to build relationships with young people in a safe but fun filled environment. The aim of the Community Teams is to provide young people with positive experiences that will build resilience and help them to overcome any adverse experiences that they have encountered in their lives. It will give young people confidence and raise their aspirations for the future. It will also educate them on healthy and safe opportunities for them to engage in. The Policing Teams would also like to pass on messages in relation to personal safety, Child Sexual Exploitation and drug and alcohol misuse
