Blue Light Brigade

17/10/2017

The Blue Light Brigade aims to recruit, train and place retired members of the emergency services as community volunteers. They will work with community safety partners to identify and resolve community problems in North East Lincolnshire. The skills, knowledge and experience previously gained as a member of the emergency services can then be used to benefit local communities.

John Ford, the Director of the Tribune Trust recently visited the West March Community Centre in Grimsby. He presented a cheque for £3,000 from the Trustees to Steve Lynn of Voluntary Action North East Lincolnshire and Steve Jones one of the volunteers. This grant will support them in the training of the volunteers and in the delivery of problem solving for the community.
